Starting August 1st, landlords won’t be able to set just any price for your rent in Paris. Through the decree of the housing law ALUR applied on this date in Paris (and planned to be in Lille in 2016), rental prices will be capped in the French capital. Why? To regulate rent increases and to provide better transparency between property owners and tenants. But does this new measure really spell out good news for tenants?
